Opaque Tights, in plain words

At 40 denier the leg still shows through a little. At 70 the colour is solid, and at 120 the pair behaves more like a legging. That is the whole scale of this bench, and the MANZI edit keeps to the classic shades: black first, then navy, coffee, grey and the nude tones for people who want the warmth of a thicker knit without the colour.

Opaque does not mean warm. A 70 denier microfiber pair is a spring and autumn pair. For a January bus stop the fleece-lined bench is the right one. And a footless pair is not a legging: the knit is finer and it is meant for a shoe or a boot, not for a gym floor.

Fit on this bench

Microfiber stretches more than nylon, so an opaque pair forgives a size on the boundary. If the chart puts you at the top of M, M will do. A sheer pair in the same case would want L.
