Thigh Highs & Stay-Ups, in plain words

A thigh high stops above the knee and holds itself there with a band on the inside of the top: usually two thin lines of silicone, sometimes a lace top with the silicone hidden under it. No suspender belt, no waistband, and nothing under a fitted skirt above mid-thigh. The MANZI house knits these in the same 15 to 30 denier yarns as the sheers, plus the fishnet and the glossy versions.

The band is the whole engineering of the piece, and it needs skin to grip: over a moisturiser it slides. That is not a fault of the pair. A thigh high also shows its top if the hem is short, which is either the point or the problem, depending on the day.

Fit on this bench

Thigh highs are sized by height and weight like a sheer, but the thigh measurement matters more. If the chart is close, size up: a band stretched to its limit rolls, and a rolled band does not hold.
